Sunday, August 31st

We will be having the inaugural youth meeting with the new youth worker, Michael VanDerHerberg, on Sunday, August 31st after the Sunday morning service. There will be lunch for all and a vegetarian option called the “Vanderburger”. The intention is to stick around for the afternoon and make our way over to the McCamus farm to help out with the corn roast. Come one, come all, tell your friends who are 10 to 20 and we’ll have a good afternoon together.

This site is meant to be a meeting place facilitating community between the youth of St. John's Ida Anglican Church. I am Michael, the moderator of this site and you are you, a contributor, a spectator and a fellow moderator. I am a fellow sojourner on this road and in need of some moderation myself sometimes as well.

I will start coming to church on Sunday mornings as of this Sunday, August 10th, and I’ll keep you posted as to how well I was welcomed by you, the youth. And if nobody says hello to me, my first teaching will be on welcoming strangers into our midst. You won’t read this until that time so you won’t know that you are being tested.
